A home study is a detailed process that helps determine if a family is ready and suitable to adopt or foster a child. It involves interviews, home visits, and a review of important documents. The goal is to make sure the home is safe, stable, and loving for a child.
Beyond just evaluation, the home study also helps prepare families for the unique responsibilities of raising a child who is not biologically theirs. It’s a chance for families to learn, reflect, and get ready for the journey of adoption or fostering.
We provide a protected visitation and a therapeutic intervention between children and non-custodial parent(s). Children and their families are able to maintain or re-establish a healthy relationship that are healthy and safe. Visits are also instrumental in assisting children in the transition to different family structures. This method also serves as a custody and treatment plan evaluation under the direction of an external licensed clinician of your choosing. Visitations are also highly recommended when working with the families that have encountered high and/or recent level of trauma. Phone and virtual visitations are also offered to families upon request. This helps when children are not comfortable visiting in person and/or when children have long distant placements.
Safe Exchange Programs assists parents in the transfer of their children from one parent or guardian to the other for visitation or placement arrangements. Safe Exchange Programs protect children from being exposed to their parents’ conflicts. A child can look forward to visiting without the worry of a disorderly and violent behaviors. This service ensures that the child remains safe. The recidivism rate of this offense is minimized and it decreases the chance of a violation of a restraining order between both parties involved.
